Christopher Parra

Christopher Parra, MPA, has extensive experience in human resources, specializing in workforce recruitment and training. Currently serving as the Workforce Recruitment & Training Manager and previously as a Human Resources Business Partner at the City of Portland since November 2019, Christopher has held multiple HR roles across various organizations. Prior positions include Human Resources Business Partner at TriMet from April 2015 to October 2019, and a long tenure at the City of Portland from May 2007 to March 2015. Earlier experience includes serving as Recruitment Manager and Administrative Analyst III at the City of Salem from April 2001 to May 2007, and as a Human Resources Associate at the State University of New York System Administration from November 1998 to March 2001. Christopher holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University at Albany and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Arizona State University.
