Laura Oppenheimer

Laura Oppenheimer is a seasoned communications professional with over two decades of experience. Currently serving as the Strategic Communications Manager for the City of Portland since January 2020, Laura previously held multiple roles at Metro, including Parks and Nature Communications Manager and Senior Public Affairs Specialist from November 2009 to January 2020. Prior reporting positions include tenure at The Oregonian from March 2001 to November 2009 and at the Lexington Herald-Leader from March 2000 to March 2001. Laura Oppenheimer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Northwestern University, earned in 2000.
