Ben Foster

Ben Foster currently serves as the Commissioner of The Portsmouth Port and Industry Commission and the Chairman of The Portsmouth Clean Community Commission in Portsmouth, Virginia. With extensive experience in marine operations, Foster monitors coal loading and bulk product discharge for T. Parker Host and has held various captain positions at Erieboat Works and Norfolk By Boat INC. Previous roles include Port Engineer at McAllister Towing and marine operations at Old Dominion University. Foster's education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ferris State University, an Associate of Science in marine engineering from Northwestern Michigan College, and a degree in Marine Engineering from Great Lakes Maritime Academy.
