Evan Menist, MPA, currently serves as Co-Director of Grants and Development at the Poughkeepsie Farm Project, and has been a Common Councilmember for Ward 2 in the City of Poughkeepsie since November 2019, where Evan was elected Majority Leader for the 2022-2023 term and previously chaired the Finance Committee. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Deputy County Executive for Ulster County, where responsibilities included managing communications and media inquiries, and as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director in the New York State Senate, overseeing a significant legislative portfolio. With a background in campaign management and business development, Evan has also contributed to research planning at Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress and held various technological roles at Marist College. Evan holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Marist College School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from Marist College.
