Douglas Joherl

Douglas Joherl, CISSP, serves as the Information Security & Cloud Administrator for the City of Punta Gorda, Florida, since February 2007, where Douglas has played a crucial role in enhancing the city's municipal information security standards. As a lead cybersecurity architect, responsibilities include the meticulous design and security of IT infrastructure that supports over 1000 nodes and 350 end-users across various municipal operations. Previous positions include Network & Security Administrator, where Douglas designed high-availability network infrastructures and managed servers, and Network Administrator at Safe Children Coalition, Inc. and LAN Analyst at Cleveland Clinic. Douglas holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity from Florida State University, along with advanced certifications in incident response, threat hunting, and risk management from SANS Technology Institute and Harvard Online.
