Melissa Reichert currently serves as the Assistant City Manager for the City of Punta Gorda, Florida, a position held since April 2021. In this role, Melissa supports the administrative and operational functions of the city, implements the City Manager's directives, and coordinates various city projects and public relations efforts. Previously, Melissa worked as the Communications Manager for the City of Punta Gorda from July 2018 to April 2021, where responsibilities included enhancing the city’s profile through strategic marketing and crisis communications. Earlier in Melissa's career, the role of President at the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce from 2011 to July 2018 focused on empowering and promoting local businesses and resources. Melissa holds a Doctor of Public Health degree specializing in Health Advocacy and Leadership, alongside a Master’s Degree in Public Health and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, all obtained from Capella University and Lakeland University.
