Don Bourbon has an extensive career in law enforcement and military service, with a current position as Professional Services Division Captain for the City of Puyallup since January 1999. Bourbon has also held various roles within the Puyallup Police Department, including Background Investigator, Police Sergeant, Training Sergeant, and Police Detective. Previous experience includes serving as a Geralist K9 Handler and SWAT Operator, as well as holding the rank of Sergeant as a Military Police officer in the US Army from 1991 to 1998. Educational background includes an Associate of Arts degree from Pierce College and attendance at both Mineral Area College and Potosi High School.

The City of Puyallup is situated at the foot of scenic Mount Rainier in the beautiful Puget Sound region 10 miles east of Tacoma and approximately 35 miles south of Seattle.
