John C. Cain, Jr. has extensive work experience in various educational and technology-related roles. John C. is currently serving as the Director of Community Technology Integration and Support at the City of Quincy. Prior to this, they worked as a Computer Technology Instructor at Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy, where they provided technology instruction to students and support to staff members. John C. also introduced after-school programs focused on STEM, coding, and software application learning. Additionally, John has experience in consulting and advisory services through their own company, Cainspointofview. Before that, they worked as an After-School/Head Teacher and Tutor at BCFY Hyde Park Community Center, where they developed an after-school tutoring program. John C. also worked as a Teacher and Instructional Technologist at Quincy and Boston Public Schools, where they introduced technology integration to students and provided support to teachers and staff. Furthermore, John has experience as the President of The Cain Corporation, where they sold computer products and developed government contracts. John C. began their career as a Human Resources Manager and Program Manager at Input Output Computer Services, Inc, where they managed human resources and assigned technology personnel to major Air Force bases.

John C. Cain, Jr. obtained their Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Human Resources Management from Cambridge College in the years 1986 to 1988. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained a certification in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the Institute for Nonprofit Practice in May 2021.
