Brett Compton

Brett Compton is an experienced communications professional with a focus on sports and social media management. Currently serving as the Social Media Manager for the City of Raleigh Municipal Government since December 2019, Brett previously held the role of Assistant Director of Athletics Communications at North Carolina State University from September 2013 to December 2019. Prior to that, Brett was the Assistant Director of Media Relations at Ohio University, where responsibilities included serving as the primary media contact for multiple NCAA Division One sports and pitching stories to media outlets. Early career roles included a Communications Intern position at the Philadelphia Union and a Game Presentation Intern role with the Philadelphia Flyers. Brett holds a Master's degree in Sports Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, both from Ohio University, as well as a Master's in Business from the same institution.
