Julia Whitfield currently serves as the Public Art Community Engagement Coordinator for the City of Raleigh Municipal Government, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this role, Julia worked as an Associate Policy Analyst at The Hunt Institute from June 2021 to March 2024, contributing to policy research dissemination for community colleges. Julia's experience also includes retail and healthcare roles, such as a Sales Associate at Old Navy and a Respite Care Provider at Abound Health, where responsibilities involved client support, documentation, and transportation. Additionally, Julia has held various positions in performing arts management and education, including House Manager and Usher at Carolina Performing Arts, and has a solid foundation in community engagement as evidenced by work with EASTER SEALS UCP and as a Student Teacher/Counselor. Julia Whitfield holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master's degree in Community Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
