Martin Petherbridge is an experienced internal audit professional, currently serving as the Internal Audit Manager for the City of Raleigh since September 2003, where responsibilities include leadership and direction for a team of four auditors. Previously, Martin worked as an Internal Auditor for the City, performing audits across various departments. Additional experience includes serving as a USSF North Carolina Soccer Referee from March 2014 to May 2018, officiating youth soccer games, and holding an Auditor position at the NC Office of the State Auditor from September 1999 to August 2003, conducting financial and grant audits for state government departments. Martin began a career as a Staff Accountant at RSM US LLP from September 1997 to August 1999, focusing on financial accounting, auditing, and tax preparation for small and medium-sized organizations. Martin holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting from NC State Poole College of Management and a BA in Public Administration from Nottingham Trent University.
