Peter Sherman

Peter Sherman, GISP, has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems. Currently serving as a Senior Technology Analyst and Senior Cityworks Application Administrator for the City of Raleigh Municipal Government since August 2017, Peter previously worked as a GIS Programmer/Analyst at Moore County GIS from June 2015 to August 2017, and as a GIS/CADD Technician at UC Synergetic from September 2013 to June 2015. Academic experience includes a role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UNC Charlotte, involving the development of lab assignments and instruction for Web GIS courses. Earlier work experience includes a GIS Intern position in the Orange County IT Department and a customer service role at Harris Teeter. Peter holds a Master's degree in Geography with a focus on Urban and Regional Analysis from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor's degree in Geography with a specialization in Geographic Information Systems from Appalachian State University.
