Ronnie B. has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Ronnie has held various roles in different organizations. In 2002, they worked as a Resident Services Coordinator at Greenwood Housing Authority. In 2006, they worked as a Membership Associate at the YMCA of Greater Charlotte and as a Ramp Agent at US Airways Express. Ronnie then joined the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington as a Membership Retention Director. In 2008, they became an Associate Child Care Director at Somerset Hills YMCA, and in 2011, they served as the Senior Program Director at South Brunswick Family YMCA. From 2012 to 2014, Ronnie held the position of Aquatics Director & Membership Coordinator at GREENWOOD FAMILY YMCA FOUNDATION INC. In 2014, they became the Youth Development Director at YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh. In 2015, they worked as the Member Services Supervisor at Life Time - The Healthy Way of Life Company. From 2015 to 2022, Ronnie had a long tenure at the City of Raleigh Municipal Government, where they held various positions, including Recreation Facilities & Program Supervisor I, Recreation Facilities & Program Supervisor II, Recreation Program Analyst (Assistant Director of Aquatic Centers), and Aquatic Facility Director - Optimist Aquatic Center (Recreation Program Analyst - Senior).

Ronnie B. obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Lander University, where they studied from 1993 to 1999. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) from the National Recreation and Park Association in 2020, Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) from the same institution in 2019, Water Safety Instructor from the American Red Cross in 2015, Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO) from the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance in 2015, and Lifeguarding Instructor from the American Red Cross in 2012.
