Lafawn Janis

Lafawn Janis currently serves as the Rapid City Community Relations Commission Coordinator, focusing on fostering a culturally aware and inclusive community through educational forums and conflict management. In addition, Lafawn operates as a Business Development Consultant at Bluebird Consulting since January 2019. Past experience includes serving as a Prevention Programming Specialist for Youth Voices in Prevention, where Lafawn developed peer-led programs for sexual and dating violence prevention, and as a Grant Research and Development Specialist at Redstone Education Group, overseeing grant applications and maintaining community relationships. Lafawn also held the position of Business Development Manager at Duffy Law and was the Owner of Children's Trading Post, LLC, managing inventory and sales. Lafawn holds a Bachelor of Education in Health from Black Hills State University.
