Serah Roupa

Serah Roupa is an experienced Senior Hadoop Developer with a robust professional background spanning over 15 years in data management and analytics. Currently at the City of Rapid City since June 2014, Serah has developed MapReduce programs and created Hive queries to enhance data analysis for market trends. Previously at the South Dakota Board of Regents from June 2011 to May 2014, Serah focused on data streaming using Flume and implemented Hive and Pig User Defined Functions (UDFs). Serah's career also includes a role at Regional Health where a transition from a UNIX platform to a web-based application was led, as well as foundational work at Wipro Infotech developing Map Reduce jobs and analyzing user data. Serah holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Calicut, obtained in 2005.
