Shannon Truax has a diverse background in public works and social services, currently serving as the Interim Public Works Assistant Director for the City of Rapid City since December 2018, with previous roles including Public Works Executive Coordinator and Administrative Coordinator. Shannon also works as a Direct Support Professional at Lutheran Social Services of SD, focusing on youth and young adults in a residential setting. Prior experience includes positions as Office Manager at B9Creations, LLC, Administrative Assistant at McKie Automotive Group, Collections Representative at Green Tree Servicing, and Site Coordinator at Western South Dakota Senior Services. Educational accomplishments include participation in Leadership Rapid City and completion of the SD CEO Women in Leadership program in 2019, as well as a diploma from Chamberlain High School.
