James Garland

James Garland, CIA, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Finance for the City of Redlands since February 2015, previously holding positions as a Fiscal Manager and Principal Accountant/Internal Auditor. Prior experience includes a Senior Internal Auditor role at the County of Riverside, where responsibilities encompassed organizing and conducting audits, mentoring new staff, and applying legal accounting standards. Earlier roles involved auditing for Vavrinek Trine & Day LLP as a Senior Auditor and Staff Auditor, focusing on Community Colleges, School Districts, and Private Companies while providing client-centric services and preparing financial statements. James Garland holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of La Verne and an Accounting Certificate from California State University-San Bernardino.
