James Wood

James Wood has a strong background in finance and accounting. James started their career as a Senior Accountant at the City of Bend in 2012 and worked there until 2018. After that, they joined Deschutes County, where they held the roles of Accounting Manager and Management Analyst Software Development from 2018 to 2022. Currently, they are the Director of Finance at the City of Redmond, Oregon.

James Wood obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from Western Oregon University in 2009. In 2010, they pursued a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business. Later, in 2011, they obtained their CPA certification from the Oregon Board of Accountancy. Currently, James is studying towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services at Eastern Oregon University, which they are expected to complete in 2025.
