Amy Tsai is a seasoned policy advisor with extensive experience in public policy and legislative analysis. Currently serving as the Chief Policy Advisor for the City of Redmond, WA since March 2022, Amy previously held significant roles in the City of Seattle, including Deputy Inspector General and Supervising Legislative Analyst for the Seattle City Council, focusing on Public Safety and Health and Human Services policy. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Legislative Analyst for the King County Council and a Senior Researcher & Lead Evaluator for the State of Washington's CTED. Amy's early career involved roles as a Board member at COLA Citizens for Offleash Areas and as a Staff Attorney at Columbia Legal Services. Amy holds a PhD in Psychology and a J.D. from the University of Washington, a Master's in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from IUPUI, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Whitman College.
