Jim Light

Jim Light currently serves as the Mayor of the City of Redondo Beach and has been involved with the South Bay Parkland Conservancy since its inception, where Jim holds the position of President and Director. Previously, Jim held roles as a Commissioner and former Chairman of the Redondo Beach Harbor Commission and participated in the General Plan Advisory Committee. With a strong background in business development, Jim has served as Senior Director at SAIC and Vice President/General Manager at Linquest. Educational credentials include an MBA from Chapman University and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University. Jim also completed a California Naturalist certification at the University of California in early 2022.
