Lydia Murphy is an experienced professional with a diverse background in permit processing, administrative support, and event coordination. Currently serving as a Building & Engineering Permitting Technician for the City of Redondo Beach since July 2022, Lydia previously held similar roles as a Permit Technician Contractor for the City of Manhattan Beach and as a Permit Technician II and Administrative Assistant for the City of Long Beach. Additional experience includes program analysis at Southern California Edison, financial aid services at Charles R. Drew University, and event coordination for various organizations. Lydia is the owner/operator of a specialty bakery and has managed operations and staff in a salon setting, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills. Lydia holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Development from Western Governors University and has pursued further education in Business Management at El Camino College.
