Patrick Isidoro Butler currently serves as Fire Chief and Harbor Master for the City of Redondo Beach since August 2022, following a distinguished career with the City of Los Angeles Fire Department, where tenure spanned from 1990 to September 2021 as Assistant Chief. Butler's extensive executive and command experience includes leadership roles in various divisions such as Chief of Staff, Chief of Special Operations, and Incident Commander. Prior to fire service, Butler worked with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for over two decades, achieving the rank of Deputy Sheriff. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Policy Planning and Development from the University of Southern California and advanced degrees from the Naval Postgraduate School and Harvard Kennedy School, along with specialized training in criminal justice management and aviation safety.
