Amanda Anthony serves as the Economic Development Manager for the City of Redwood City since March 2024. Prior to this role, Amanda held the position of San Mateo County Program Director at the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, where program development focused on business certification and supporting entrepreneurs throughout San Mateo County. Amanda's entrepreneurial experience includes founding and managing Wroclaw's first paint-your-own-pottery studio, which significantly increased its revenue over five years. Further expertise was gained at the Centre for Systems Solutions as a Policy Expert, facilitating workshops on sustainability, and at Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Marketing Project Lead. Amanda’s foundational experience in education reform and analysis was established through various roles in Chicago Public Schools. Amanda holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's degree combining Chemistry and Political Science from Purdue University.
