Jacob Fausett

Jacob Fausett is an experienced professional in the fields of Geographic Information Systems and engineering, currently serving as a GIS Analyst and previously as a Senior Engineering Technician for the City of Reno since August 2019. Prior to this, Jacob held significant roles at Best Buy/Geek Squad from February 2002 to October 2019, where responsibilities included leading a large sales team and managing logistics with top performance metrics. Academic experience includes serving as a Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno, where Jacob implemented automation solutions to enhance research efficiency and mentored multiple student research projects. Additionally, Jacob contributed to the Great Basin Observatory as a Senior Telescope Operator, providing training and technical support. Educational qualifications consist of a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Nevada, Reno.
