Sylvia Leal

Sylvia Leal is a GIS Analyst at the City of Reno, where responsibilities include utilizing GIS software for spatial analysis and developing web and mobile geospatial applications. Previously, Sylvia served as a GIS Technician for Humboldt County, focusing on the maintenance and distribution of GIS data. As a Project Manager and Ecological Data Specialist at The Great Basin Institute, duties involved creating maps and conducting training on data management and GIS fundamentals. Earlier experience with the U.S. Forest Service included leading a crew in GIS and wildlife identification. Sylvia holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography with a minor in Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon.
