Dorothy Jo

Dorothy Jo is an experienced program manager currently overseeing the Social Planning, Accessibility, and Inclusion sections within the City of Richmond's Community Social Development department since April 2018. Previous roles include Acting Program Manager for Community Social Development and Inclusion Coordinator, where responsibilities encompassed strategy, policy development, and community inclusion initiatives, along with acting as staff liaison to the Richmond Intercultural Advisory Committee. Earlier in the career, Dorothy served as a Planning Assistant focused on affordable housing and childcare policies, and as a Research Consultant for Canadian Development Consultants International Inc., providing research support to various governmental agencies. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Sociology from The University of British Columbia, a Bachelor of Social Work from The University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and Sociology from Eckerd College.
