Emily Huang currently serves as a Policy Planner II at the City of Richmond, having started in June 2024. Previously, Emily held the position of Planning Analyst at the City of New Westminster from May 2021 to June 2024, focusing on Land Use Policy and Community Planning, as well as Affordable Housing Planning. Prior to that, Emily worked in various roles related to rezoning and community planning at the City of Vancouver between April 2019 and May 2021. Emily's experience also includes roles at The University of British Columbia as a Communications and Engagement Assistant, community engagement at Brook Pooni Associates Inc., and a summer planning position at the City of Surrey. Additionally, Emily contributed as a Teacher Support Worker at the Arab Episcopal School in Jordan. Emily holds a Master of Community and Regional Planning from UBC and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Geography with a focus in Urban Studies from The University of British Columbia.
