Melanie Devoy is an experienced arts programmer and educator with a diverse background in art education, film, and environmental studies. Currently serving as an Arts Programmer at the City of Richmond since March 2021, Devoy also holds the position of School Program Coordinator at the Richmond Art Gallery since January 2011. Prior to these roles, Devoy worked as a Teacher on Call for Secondary Art and Social Studies at the Richmond School District No. 38 from September 2009 to October 2010. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Education in Art Education and History from The University of British Columbia, a Foundation Film Program from Vancouver Film School, and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Architecture from the University of Waterloo.
