Serena Lusk has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Serena began their career in 1997 as a Manager at Swim BC, where they worked until 1999. Following that, they joined DB Perks & Associates as a Sales Manager from 1999 to 2000. In 2002, they transitioned to Simon Fraser University Athletics as an Associate Director - Finance & Administration and held the position until 2005. Since 2005, Serena has been working at the City of Richmond, starting as the Deputy CAO and General Manager, Community Services. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Administrative Officer, a role they began in July 2022.
Serena Lusk pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics (BHK) degree in Recreation Administration from The University of British Columbia. Serena attended this institution from 1991 to 1997, gaining expertise in the field of Recreation Administration. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Sports Marketing from the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business from 2000 to 2002, enhancing their knowledge in the realm of Sports Marketing.
