Kim Norton serves as the Mayor of Rochester, MN, a position held since November 2018. Previously, Kim was the Mayor-Elect of Rochester and a 2016 Bush Fellow, focusing on leadership development and sustainable community practices. Experience also includes serving in the Minnesota State Legislature from 2006 to 2016, holding various leadership roles such as Assistant Majority Leader and co-chairing committees on childhood obesity and workforce development. Kim was the Executive Director of the Rochester Area Math/Science Partnership and the Regional Manager for Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest. Early involvement in education includes an eight-year tenure on the Rochester Public Schools Board. Kim holds a Master's degree in Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota and an Executive Certificate in Public Policy from Harvard University, among other educational qualifications.
