Michael Nigbur

Michael Nigbur is a seasoned professional in urban management with extensive experience in public works and land planning. Since July 2011, Michael has served as the Director of Parks and Forestry Division for the City of Rochester, MN, overseeing 4,500 acres of parkland, sports fields, natural resources, trail systems, and related facilities, and managing the division's budget and capital improvement programs. From 1995 to 2011, Michael held various positions within the City of Rochester's Public Works Department, including Infrastructure Asset & Property Manager and Land Development Manager, where responsibilities encompassed property management, infrastructure coordination, and capital improvement planning. Prior experience includes working as a Land Planner at McGhie & Betts Consulting from 1988 to 1995. Michael holds a degree in Geography with a focus on Land Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
