Aprel Prunty, M.A.T, M.S.Ed., NBCT, has been serving as the 6th Ward Alderwoman for the City of Rockford, Illinois since May 2021. With a long-standing career in education, Aprel Prunty has been a National Board Certified Teacher with Rockford Public Schools since August 1999. Aprel Prunty holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from Northern Illinois University, as well as a Master of Science in Education and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education from Northern Illinois University and Rockford University, respectively.
