We’ve been named the nation’s third Ford Next Generation Learning Model Community based on our public school success in developing & implementing high school career academies. We keep the world flying, as dozens of aerospace & advanced manufacturing companies call our city home. We’re the home of Jane, the world’s most complete and best preserved juvenile T.rex, at the Burpee Museum of Natural History; Anderson Japanese Gardens; the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Laurent House; some of the best & most affordable golf in the Midwest; and Rockford City Market, which features local growers, vendors, live music & demonstrations.
