Melissa James

Melissa James is an accomplished professional in the fields of economic development and tourism, currently serving as the Manager of Economic Development and Tourism for the City of Rockingham since November 2021. Previous roles at the City of Rockingham include Acting Manager and Senior Tourism Development Officer. Prior experience includes positions at the City of Mandurah, where Melissa held roles from Coordinator of Festivals and Events to Events Officer from January 2014 to November 2021, and a stint as Events Administration at Street Hassle Events from September 2012 to January 2014. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Tourism in Applied Event Management from Murdoch University and participated in a study abroad program at the University of Miami in 2009.
