Tristan Fernandes

Tristan Fernandes is a seasoned planning professional with extensive experience in urban and regional planning. Currently serving as the Manager of Major Planning Projects at the City of Rockingham since June 2023, Tristan prepares and manages significant planning initiatives, including the development of the Rockingham Strategic Centre, while collaborating with state and federal governments on regional matters. Prior to this role, Tristan was the Principal Urban Planner - Strategy at the City of Perth, where responsibilities included coordinating strategic planning priorities and developing precinct plans. Tristan's career at the City of Rockingham began in 2006, progressing from Senior Planning Officer to Co-ordinator of Strategic Planning, overseeing various planning projects and the implementation of policies. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from Curtin University, a Diploma in Project Management from South Metropolitan TAFE, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from The University of Notre Dame Australia.
