Cliff Cumber

Cliff Cumber is an experienced communications professional serving as the Public Information Specialist for the City of Rockville since May 2016, where strategic communication and marketing initiatives have been developed and implemented to enhance public awareness and engagement. Prior to this role, Cumber worked at The Frederick News-Post from September 2002 to May 2016, holding various editorial positions, including Editorial Page Editor, Assistant City Editor, Business Editor, and County and Government Reporter, leading significant improvements in editorial design and content while managing news coverage on complex political issues. Additional experience includes serving as an adjunct faculty advisor for a student newspaper at Mount St. Mary's University and working as a City Reporter for The Gazette. Cumber holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of York and an Associate of Science in Video Production and Music Engineering from The Art Institutes.
