Derrick Tibbs

Derrick Tibbs is an experienced professional with a diverse background in leadership and community service. Currently serving as the Executive Director of McSisters Foundation since March 2023, Derrick focuses on addressing the links between poverty and the criminal justice system, aiming to uplift and empower youth. Derrick has been with the City of Rockville since April 2013, holding roles including Police Corporal, Community Service Officer, and Police Officer, demonstrating a commitment to public safety and community engagement. Prior experience includes positions at Town Sports International as a Membership Consultant, Sapphire Technologies as a Recruiter, and Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness as a Wellness Program Coordinator, each fostering a strong foundation in member services and program coordination. Derrick started a career in public service with Montgomery County as a Gym Supervisor, overseeing sports programs and events.
