Sean R. Sedam

Sean R. Sedam is an experienced communication professional currently serving as the Assistant Director of Communication and Public Information Specialist for the City of Rockville since November 2013. Sean has a strong background in journalism, having worked as an Associate Regional Editor for Patch.com, where responsibilities included managing local editors and developing news strategies for 13 community sites in Montgomery County, Maryland. As the Local Editor for Rockville Patch, Sean successfully launched the site and covered a wide range of community news. Prior experience at The Gazette included serving as a Staff Writer and Political Reporter from 2007 to 2010, where Sean covered the Maryland General Assembly. Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Political Science from Penn State University, completed in 1999.
