Willie Richards has extensive experience in law enforcement, currently serving as Assistant Chief for the City of Round Rock since April 2017. Previously, Richards worked with the Capitol Police from October 1993 to July 1995 and served as a Jailer at the Travis County Sheriff's Office from January 1991 to October 1993. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Leadership and Management from Sam Houston State University, earned between 2012 and 2013, and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Mountain State University from 2004 to 2006. Additional training includes completion of the FBI National Academy in 2010 and participation in the Law Enforcement Management Institute and Leadership Development program from 2003 to 2005.
