Kenneth Sawyer Shannon

Kenneth Sawyer Shannon is currently serving as a Staff Engineer for the City of Russellville, Arkansas since August 2022. Prior to this role, Kenneth worked as a Construction Project Coordinator at Bowden Specialties from March 2021 to June 2022, and as a HS Math Teacher and Coach at Atkins High School from August 2020 to March 2021. Kenneth's teaching experience also includes a position as a Geometry Teacher at Dover High School from July 2018 to May 2020. Earlier in Kenneth's career, experience included operating machinery and participating in projects at FlaktGroup SEMCO, engineering work at JBT FoodTech, and contributions to Vex Robotics Competitions at Arkansas Tech University. Kenneth started with hands-on work as a Probationary Firefighter with Russellville Fire & Rescue and gained extensive field experience as a Pipeliner at Shannon Bros Pipeline Co. Inc. Kenneth's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and degrees in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies and Nuclear Technology from Arkansas Tech University, along with a high school diploma from Atkins High School.
