Designated Supervisor - Parks at City of Saint John

Jason Clayton has over a decade of experience in parks and recreation management, currently serving as Designated Supervisor - Parks for the City of Saint John since May 2010. Responsibilities include supervising staff to ensure safe and efficient service delivery, conducting monthly inspections of recreational facilities, managing equipment procurement, and developing a Field Maintenance Manual to enhance turf maintenance operations. In addition to this role, Jason spent a year as a Continuous Improvement Facilitator at City Hall, utilizing data analysis and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements. Earlier experience includes owning and operating Red Fern Gardening, providing horticultural services, as well as various landscaping and grounds maintenance roles. Jason is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Business Management at Brigham Young University - Idaho while holding a Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Horticulture from Nova Scotia Agricultural College.
