Alanna Reed

Alanna Reed currently serves as the Director of Communications & Engagement for the City of San Antonio, a role assumed in February 2022. Previously, Alanna worked as the Director of Communications for the City of Houston, managing communications for a major public works department and successfully engaging with the community during significant events such as Hurricane Harvey and Super Bowl 51. Prior experience includes positions at the City of Austin, where Alanna excelled as a Marketing + Content Strategist and Public Information Officer, reaching millions through comprehensive outreach campaigns and developing a nationally recognized recycling program. Alanna's early career involved project management for Keep Texas Beautiful. Alanna holds a BA in Communications from St. Edward's University and is pursuing a Master of Public Administration at The University of Texas at San Antonio.
