Mark Carmona serves as the Chief Housing Officer for the City of San Antonio, overseeing the implementation of plans addressing affordable housing and homelessness. Previously, Mark held the position of Mental Health Project Lead at the H.E. Butt Foundation, focusing on the intersection of mental health and faith initiatives. As Managing Member of Top Drawer Property Solutions, Mark contributed to real estate and business investment projects. Mark also served as President & CEO of Haven for Hope, leading efforts at a major campus for homelessness and promoting a trauma-informed care model. Mark has further experience as Deputy CEO of the Center for Health Care Services and Executive Director of ChildSafe, where leadership efforts advanced child welfare legislative changes. Mark's early career included a role as Grants Manager at the Kronkosky Charitable Foundation. Mark holds an Executive MBA in Leadership from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
