Derek Williamson has a strong background in Information Technology, with extensive work experience in various roles within city government. Derek started their career at the City of Norco as an Information Technology Analyst in 2001 and worked there until 2012. Derek then joined the City of Menifee, where they served as a Senior Information Technology Analyst from 2012 to 2015, and then as an Information Technology Manager from 2015 to 2017. Currently, Derek is working at the City of San Jacinto, where they started as a Manager of Information Services in 2017 and later transitioned to the role of Chief Innovation Officer in January 2022.
Derek Williamson obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from California Baptist University in the years 2015 to 2017. Derek also pursued a Masters Certificate in Strategic Organizational Leadership in Organizational Leadership at Villanova University in 2021.
