Dana Peak Edwards is a highly experienced planner with a focus on historic preservation and community development. Currently serving as the Principal Planner and Historic Preservation Officer for the City of San José since January 2020, Dana has previously held significant positions including Associate Planner for the City of Piedmont and Urban Planner for Toohey Survey. Earlier in the career, Dana contributed to town planning and heritage consulting with Hillocc Pty Ltd, as well as managing major programs for the County of Santa Clara focused on historic preservation and land protection. Dana started the professional journey as a Senior Planner at the City of Jackson Department of Planning & Development, overseeing a federally certified historic preservation program. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Historic Preservation and Conservation from Cornell University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Design from the University of California, Davis, and studies at UC San Diego and the University of East Anglia.
