Jeff Janssen

Jeff Janssen is an experienced professional currently serving as a Business Employment Specialist 2 for the State of Oregon since April 2021. Concurrently, Jeff holds the position of Policy Advisor to a San José Councilmember since August 2018, focusing on strategic policy development, project management, research, and volunteer management. Prior roles include Manager of Government Partnerships at OpTerra Energy Services, where Jeff developed key government relations and outreach strategies, and Senior Policy Advisor in the City of San José Mayor's Office, where Jeff advised on education, environment, transportation, and government affairs, while leading legislative agendas. Additionally, Jeff operated as a self-employed consultant from 1988 to 2006, effectively managing successful campaigns for various political candidates and ballot measures. Jeff is a graduate of Northern Illinois University.
