Michael Lomio

Michael Lomio has extensive experience in land use, economic development, and government relations, currently serving as Mayor Matt Mahan's Senior Land Use & Economic Development Policy Advisor for the City of San José since February 2019. Previously, Michael held the same role under Mayor Sam Liccardo and served as Senior Policy Advisor & Press Secretary for Councilmember Pam Foley. Notable experience includes holding positions at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and the Executive Office of the President. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Political Science from the University of California, Merced, and has a strong background in community engagement, policy drafting, and strategic communications.
