Shelley Velez

Shelley Velez has extensive experience in human resources and risk management, currently serving as the Human Resources/Risk Manager for the City of San Juan Capistrano since October 2022. Prior to this role, Velez dedicated over three decades to the City of Dana Point, where responsibilities included Human Resources & Risk Manager, Human Resources Manager, Senior Personnel Analyst, Human Resources Analyst, Administrative Assistant, and Secretary. Velez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from California State University, Fullerton, earned between 1981 and 1986.
