Dan Blanke

Administrative Citation Appeals Hearing Examiner at CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO

Dan Blanke has extensive experience in law enforcement and administrative roles, currently serving as the Administrative Citation Appeals Hearing Examiner for both the City of San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly State University since 2012 and 2009, respectively. Prior to these positions, Dan Blanke had a longstanding career with the City of San Luis Obispo, retiring in 2009 after serving as Police Captain, Police Lieutenant, Police Sergeant, and Police Officer. Additionally, Dan Blanke worked as a Park Ranger with the City of San Jose from 1978 to 1980. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Education from San Diego State University, a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, and completion of leadership programs through Command College and the Supervisory Leadership Institute, both under the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards & Training.
