Catherine Quffa

Catherine Quffa has a diverse professional background with significant experience in public administration and environmental program management. Currently serving as the Library & Recreation Director for the City of San Rafael since October 2018, Quffa has previously held multiple roles, including Assistant Library & Recreation Director and Management Analyst. Prior experience includes leadership positions at the Institute at the Golden Gate, where Catherine managed climate education programs and oversaw budget and staff management. Catherine also served as Director of Programs and Communications at Kusamala Institute of Agriculture & Ecology, and held various roles in education, non-profit organizations, and international development, including service as a Government Extension Worker for the Peace Corps. Educational qualifications include a BA in International History from Stanford University and an MA with Distinction in International Environmental Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
